The reproductive system consists of the organs, glands, and supportive structures that are involved with human sexuality and procreation. In the male, sperm and the hormone testosterone are produced in the testes. The female produces ova (eggs) and the hormones estrogen and progesterone in the ovaries. When the egg and sperm meet, they produce a single cell called a zygote.
