Date: 5/16/2013

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJ Hamilton) will celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day with a luncheon on Sunday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the RWJ Hamilton Center for Health & Wellness.

The celebration is free and open to cancer survivors, their families and friends to enjoy an early afternoon of live music and holistic health activities, including chair massage, chair yoga, and reiki. Featured speaker, Kelly Yaede, Mayor of Hamilton and former American Cancer Society executive will speak briefly about emotional support and survivorship at 10 a.m. RWJ Hamilton’s providers will address the role integrative medicine plays in cancer treatment during a presentation at 11:30 a.m.

The RWJ Hamilton Center for Health & Wellness is located in the Clover Shopping Center, 3100 Quakerbridge, Rd, Mercerville, NJ. To RSVP for the event, please call 609.584.5900.

Now in its 26th year, National Cancer Survivors Day is a worldwide celebration of those who have fought cancer. A survivor is considered anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation estimates there are nearly 14 million Americans who fit that description.
