Cancer Support Services
Education and support are critical to cancer care. It is important that people with cancer get the information they need to make informed choices about their care and the support needed to manage the day-to-day challenges of living with this disease. An essential part of our mission, we offer an unparalleled level of support available in our community.
- Oncology social work, including counseling
- Patient and family support groups
- Integrative therapy
- Pastoral care
- Home care and hospice services
Support is offered through an oncology social worker who helps alleviate the emotional, physical and financial pressures often experienced by people with cancer. Other services provided by the oncology social worker include: serving as a liaison to the medical team; helping patients navigate insurance and ideintfiy additional financial resources; and providing counseling, education and information, including referrals to home-based and community resources.
