| Blasse was cared for at RWJ Hamilton and the Bristol-Meyes Squibb Children's Hospital at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick. Read his story here. |
Dedicated to treating our youngest patients, this unit offers the expertise of specially-trained pediatriac physicians and staff. More than 10,000 children are seen at RWJ Hamilton's emergency department each year.
Designed for Peace and Comfort
From sprains and breaks to the more serious, our Pediatric Emergency Center treats children from infants up to age 18 in a safe, calming environment beyond the hustle-bustle of the main Emergency Department.
The unit is equipped with eight rooms specially-designed to accommodate children and their families — including private bathrooms and furniture that allows parents to comfortably remain with their child for the duration of their treatment.
Support from the State's Leading Children's Hospital
The unit is supported by the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. As a regional resource for pediatrics, and home to the state's first and only pediatric trauma center, BMS Children’s Hospital at RWJUH enables our patients to experience seamless access to this higher level of care through the Robert Wood Johnson Health System. This includes leading sub-specialist pediatric physicians and surgeons, when needed. As a health system, our physicians and staff work together on a daily basis to support our pediatric patients and their families.

| YOU CHOOSE
There's a reason why people choose our emergency department more often than any other Mercer County hospital.
