Birthing Suites
The Women & Infants Pavilion at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton was designed with
patient comfort in mind. Each beautifully-appointed suite of this 10-bed labor and delivery unit
is fully-equipped with the finest state-of-the-art technology for our new mothers and babies.
It looks like a hotel room, but is designed to provide our patients with an exceptional birthing
experience.
Each suite has free local telephone, free television, a full bath with shower, and a comfortable place for dads to stay overnight.
Beyond the suite, we also provide a pantry area with complimentary hot and cold beverages and kitchenette amenities such as a
refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker. The pantry is accessible 24 hours a day.
For our patients' comfort, we offer a Jacuzzi tub that may assist in the relief of
pain and with the labor process. The Jacuzzi may be used unless otherwise directed by a physician or midwife.
Postpartum Suites
Once your baby has arrived, you will be moved to the postpartum unit located in the adjacent Lakefront Tower. This newest addition to the hospital offers a warm and welcoming place for you and your family to get to know your new baby.
Our 16 private, postpartum rooms provide a private bath, flat-panel television and comfortable sleeping area for dad to stay overnight.
Throughout your stay with us, the hospital provides our award winning Food on Demand program.
This program gives you the freedom to choose what you want to eat and when, based on your physician's dietary orders.
