Celebrate American Heart Month with RWJ Hamilton

HAMILTON, NEW JERSEY - Cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are the number one killer of men and women in the U.S. according to the American Heart Association (AHA). During February, which has been designated as American Heart Month, RWJ Hamilton’s physicians and educators will be educating our community about cardiovascular disease to help combat statistics asserting that many people are unaware they have heart disease until it is too late.

"Love Your Heart" Health Fair - February 9; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A free event devoted to the prevention and treatment of heart disease, the morning includes exhibits, screenings, a physician lecture and heart healthy cooking demonstration. Bring your questions for the dietician, pharmacist, and cardiology team. Exhibits staffed by RWJ Hamilton experts will focus on a variety of topics, including: smoking cessation, women's heart health, stroke awareness, and healthy diets. Fee: Free.
