RWJ Hamilton to Honor Cancer Survivors with WE vs. C and Roxey Ballet

On June 4, RWJ Hamilton will honor National Cancer Survivors Day and the personal stories of 22 breast cancer survivors with the Roxey Ballet and their presentation of Breast Cancer: Personal Stories of Triumph.

Project WE vs. C was created as a cancer awareness campaign led by RWJ Hamilton to champion community-based cancer care, providing patients with the advanced technology and support they need.

Mark Roxey will utilize his professional dancers as well as several of the survivors in his choreography. This 1st annual production will take place in the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, which will be enhanced by several healing gardens inspired by the program. 

Honored guests will include:

  • Twenty-two cancer survivors, who fought and won their battles with breast cancer at RWJ Hamilton

  • Nina Melker, Chairman of the RWJ Hamilton Foundation Board

  • Dr. Firas Eladoumikdachi, Program Director of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton

  • Mark Roxey, choreographer of Roxey Ballet
